Prakash S/O Chandra

Religion : Hinduism (Hindu)

Race : Indian

Enthinic Group : Tamil

Religion

In his religion, he have to pray in the morning and evening.

Morning - (6am-9am)

Evening - (6pm-8pm)

After his pray, he will put a white/red/ yellow powder on his forehead.

It is to significant the tamil way of devotion.

His religion don't let him eat beef/pork/lamb.

Culture (Part 1)

One of his festival is, Pongal.

Pongal is a harvest festival widely celebrated by tamils around the world.

It is also for thanking the nature for prosperity to the world.

In pogal, there are two type of it.

One is thai pongal which falls on the first day of tamil month, 14th or 15 january.

It is celebrated by boiling rice with fresh milk and cook it in new claypots.

Another type is maattu pongal.

It is when they dedicate the day to the cows for their diary products.

Culture (Part 2)

The other one of the festival is Thaipusam.

Thaipusam is celebrated by the tamils pupil on the full moon in the tamil month of, thai.

Thai : January / February.

They will take cavadi to idol for the purpose tiding over or averting a great calamicy.

The devoty would take a vow to dedicate a cavadi for the well being of himself and his family.

During the month of thay, they can only drink and eat vegetables.

Cavadi : a needle that they will poke on themselves.

Devoty : The person

Culture (Part 3)

Lastly, it is Deepavali!

Deepavali is the festival of light.

It is hoping for prosperity the following year.

It is celebrated by diffrent enthinic group.

He will decorate his house with lights.

He will also play with fireworks, exchange gift and consume heavy sweets.

Heavy sweets : a lot of sugar!

Basically, celebrate deepavali is uplifting the glory of good over evil.
